Governor’s Ball is back this weekend at the beautiful Flushing Meadows Corona Park in New York City! With three days of the world’s biggest acts on the horizon, Tongue Tied is here to offer our top five performing artists whose sets need to be on your radar!
FLO - IHG Stage, Friday @ 3:45 PM
FLO has taken the world by storm since their single “Cardboard Box” first gained virality on social media in 2022. The British girl group has continually brought new life to the R&B genre that we truly cannot get enough of. With their debut album on the way, FLO’s set is certain to be a massive hit on Friday afternoon.
Goth Babe - GOVBALLNYC Stage, Friday @ 4:45 PM
Directly after FLO we will be sprinting over to the GOVBALLNYC stage to catch the elusive Goth Babe. Goth Babe epitomizes making music for the love of it, as when he isn’t touring, he lives full time on a sailboat with his dog Lola just sailing and playing music all day. Anyone lucky enough to catch one of his sets is always treated to an eclectic indie rock masterclass, and we can’t wait for school to be back in session on Friday.
d4vd - IHG Stage, Saturday @ 5:00 PM
If you haven’t yet heard of d4vd, you’ve likely at least heard his breakout singles “Romantic Homicide” or “Here With Me”, both of which have amassed over a billion streams on Spotify alone. The 19 year old has a knack for evocative indie music to both pierce and mend the hearts of his listeners, and he’s certain to blow away the Gov Ball crowd this Saturday.
The Hails - IHG Stage, Sunday @ 12:00 PM
Vibrant indie rock feels all too easy for The Hails, a five piece outfit from Miami. After debut single “Younger” found a spark online back in 2018, the band has continually released some of the most confident and comfortable indie rock for all to fall in love with. The Hails open up the IHG Stage on day three this weekend, and we’re confident the party they’ll bring right out of the gate is worth getting to the festival early.
Chappell Roan - GOVBALLNYC Stage, Sunday @ 3:15 PM
Chappell Roan is on a meteoric rise towards flat out superstardom, and her world domination tour makes its next stop at Gov Ball this Sunday! It’s simply impossible to put a word other than magic to the way that Roan lights up every stage she hits, and we can’t wait to dance the day away to “Pink Pony Club” with thousands of our new best friends.
