Review: Say It Anyway by Bealby Point

Review by Isabelle Turner

Hailing from the youthful suburbs of Vancouver, Bealby Point has stepped on the music scene as a breath of fresh air, capturing a perfect sense of summertime.

The band, composed of Jack Armstrong, Jordan Studer, Clayton Dewar, and Zack Yeager, has a light indie-rock sound that is addicting. Their songs sound like summer, and bring a sense of nostalgia to listeners. Since their debut single, “I’m so Bummed Out Right Now”, their sound has developed into a perfectly polished production, with emotional lyrics. Inspired by the likes of The Strokes and Eagles, their sound is infectious, and their recent single “Say It Anyway” is the perfect track to continue their discography strong.

“Say It Anyway” is the perfect genre blend, creating an angsty, yet upbeat song that is addicting from first listen. The lyrics of a past love are deeply emotional, but glide beautifully over a rock-based instrumental, creating the perfect dichotomy. The youthfulness of the band is evident with every chord and exudes a carefree sense of joy.

Bealby Point is inevitably going to be the next big thing. “Say It Anyway” is only the beginning for this band and I’m confident that we will be hearing more passionate and youthful music from them very soon.

Stream “Say It Anyway” here if you haven’t yet and be sure to follow Bealby Point on Instagram for their next big hit.
