Single Review: 6 Shooter by Wotts

Review by Isabelle Turner

Our favorite Canadian duo Wotts is back again with their fourth single of the year “6 Shooter”. Through a collaboration with The Desert Island Big Band, the artists have found a way to blend their sounds together to bring out the best in each other.

In May, Wotts released the single “LEMONADE”, an upbeat and light track that explored the joyous, yet fleeting moments of youth. Following their addicting track is single “6 Shooter”, the band’s first collaboration. While DIBB released his own track “Six-Shooter”, Wotts was driven to put their own twist on it.

Drastically different from DIBB’s track, “6 Shooter” is airy and carefree, mixing in the signature sound that Wotts is known for. The catchy melodies make the track easily danceable. Weaving in elements of rock that expand past their traditional horizons, the band toys with genres, showing that they can truly do it all.

Wotts continues to outdo themselves with each song, making music to push their boundaries while creating addicting tracks.

Be sure to listen to “6 Shooter” here, as well as The Desert Island Big Band’s version “Six-Shooter” here. You can follow Wotts on social media here.
