With incredible vocal dynamics, Izzy Pingrey is stepping onto the music scene with her debut single “sick of it”, a realistic and authentic heartbreak anthem that tells a story beyond her years.
Hailing from New York City, Izzy Pingrey is a young artist with incredible vocals and the attitude of a well-versed musician. “sick of it” has been out for close to a month now and has continued to garner large success for the rising artist Pingrey. As the first single for an upcoming EP, she has set the stage beautifully for her upcoming projects. Beginning her career on a strong note, Izzy Pingrey exudes confidence and self-awareness, which makes her music unmistakable.
Starting with a simple guitar strand that leads into a catchy pop beat, “sick of it” details the past feelings and heartache that follows a relationship. With immense confidence, Izzy Pingrey details the relationship in a negative light and shows the toxicity of the relationship. Pingrey lists many of the negative aspects of the relationship, following it up with she is “sick of it”. The bridge is addicting and holds deep lyrics behind them. She even belts out a note towards the end of the song that is jaw- dropping. As Izzy Pingrey sings, the lyrics are vengeful and borderline hurt, showing the impact of the relationship on her. During the verses, Pingrey slows down the instrumental and vocals, allowing her true talent to shine. The vocal complexity adds an incredible element to the track and makes Izzy Pingrey stand out impressively among her peers. Additionally, the beat and production of "sick of it" is incredible, and makes for an infectious and catchy song. The song feels like a breath of fresh air, and would be a sure radio hit with a little more maturity behind her. Using phrases as if she is quoting her prior experiences, the song is the perfect heartbreak anthem that fits in perfectly with the pop scene.
